Research Compliance Services

About Us

Research Compliance Services (RCS) was created at the University of Oregon as a central research integrity office to help faculty, staff, and students navigate complex federal and state research compliance regulations, so that innovative and collaborative research may flourish. RCS partners with other research units to coordinate the activities of various compliance oversight committees.

Our Services

Research Compliance Services works with the University community to:

  • Promote the protection of human subjects research, through reviewing human subject research, assisting researchers with their study submissions, and supporting the Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) charged with approving human subjects research.
  • Oversee compliance and promote best practices related to the management of conflicts of interest and commitment between employee's UO duties and their outside interests and activities.
  • Provide resources for responsible conduct of research (RCR) education, and support compliance with sponsor RCR training requirements.
  • Receive and facilitate the review of allegations of research misconduct

We offer individual and group consultations; class presentations; informational videos; and on demand, tailored trainings and workshops. Research Compliance Services aspires to be an asset to the university research community while fostering a culture of research integrity through our mission and vision.
